Sometimes, I need to let out my creativity in other ways than writing, so crafts are a great way to do this. For me, my crafty passion is jewelry making, and it’s something I’ve been doing ever since I was a kid.
Starting out, a lot of the jewelry I made was gifts for my family. I made necklaces, bracelets, earrings, watches, wine charms, and jewelry sets (pretty much anything I put my mind to).
My specialty, both then and now, are rosary beads. As a kid, whenever I told someone I make rosary beads they all were a little surprised because it wasn’t a usual interest for an eight-year-old, but I loved doing it. In fact, I still love doing it, and I try to challenge myself to make ones that look as beautiful as any necklace. I’ve also experimented making them both for males and females. The ones with the brightest colors are my favorites though.
Other than rosary beads, some of my recent projects that I adore are astrology bracelets and birthstone bracelets. Astrology and birthstones are another thing I’ve been fascinated with since I was a kid, so including them in my designs was something I always wanted to do. I think I finally mastered my creation with these since they are both eye-appealing and symbolic.
In the future, I would love to pursue designs that included the angels. Bracelets would be a great outlet since they would match well with the astrology and birthstone ones, but I think necklaces might be a good idea too. I’ll have to do some experimenting before I decide.
